Geraldine Terry was brought up on Tyneside. While at school, she took up holiday jobs in Bamburgh, and it was then that she first became interested in Grace Darling’s story. After a career as an advisor on overseas development projects, she now divides her time between Morpeth and the North Northumberland coast, which she loves.

Moira Pagan was born in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland and brought up on Tyneside where she attended school with Geraldine. She now lives in Australia. Her paternal grandmother was Agnes Darling Bell, a relative of Grace Darling. Moira’s artwork can be viewed at www.moirapagan.com
